We are delighted to offer our Branch's inaugural Lebanon County NAACP Diversity Scholarship — a one-time, non-renewable $1,000 award intended to help defray the cost of books and other incidental expenses. The scholarship will be granted to a meritorious graduating senior of color of a Lebanon County high school — i.e., a person of African, Asian, Hispanic and/or Latino, Native American, or mixed heritage, who will be attending college or trade school full-time or part-time in 2023, including culinary school, auto, medical, dental, welding, animal care, technology, or related fields.
The awarding of the scholarship will be based on the recommendation of a teacher, guidance counselor, or community member and the applicant's original 400-word essay in response to one of three prompts. The essay will be scored based on content, not writing skill.
The deadline for 2023 submission has passed. Please stay tuned for information about 2024's scholarship.
